This weekend was full of new experiences for our little girls. Friday, Mollie had her first T-ball practice and had a great time.
Saturday, Allison had her first Soccer lesson at the YMCA and Mollie had her first T-ball game. Allison took a little time to warm up and wanted her Daddy there with her. She seemed to have fun kicking the ball and learning to stop it - which always involved the mandatory posing. She'd plant her foot firmly on top of the ball and cross her arms in a victorious stance reminiscent of the big game hunters of yore.
Mollie seems to have taken to T-ball much better than she had to soccer. She doesn't seem to handle direct confrontational sports very well. The concept of sports like Soccer, where one ball is pursued by a large number of people stressed her out. T-ball, on the other hand, offers her a set role and a set objective without the stress of direct and physical confrontation. She really enjoyed it. She even tagged out a runner!
