Annual Spring Fling

Mollie's school, Hacienda, is getting ready for their annual Spring Fling this coming Sat, May 2. You all know that Scott and I love this school. We consider ourselves very blessed in getting into this popular magnet school. Because this school is popular, there is a huge level of parent participation. One way parents get involved in through HIPS (their version of PTA). HIPS financially supports the science program, field trips, library/technology and media center. HIPS pays for the music program, entirely funds ALL assemblies, publishing lab, art, and financial support for the classrooms. There is a lot of fund raising throughout the year. This is the big one.

Along with all the silent auction items, activities with teachers, prizes to win, there is also a walk-a-thon. Mollie will be taking part in this. She will probably only walk 1-2 miles because we have soccer and t-ball later the same morning. (We get a 3 mile credit for her t-ball!)
