Scott and Mollie both have today off from work and school. Even though Allie has a cold we thought it would be good to get out for a bit before the weather gets rainy this week. Scott and I took the girls to the Japanese Friendship Garden. Last month Mollie learned about different countries in school, so this was our way of reinforcing what she learned with a field trip.
The girls had a great time walking along all the paths and watching the fish and ducks. It's kind of funny; I was more nervous about Allie falling into the water than Mollie. Even when they were leaning over the bridge looking down, for some reason I knew Mollie would be careful(even though there is more of her leaning over) than Allie. Thankfully, on this trip, everyone stayed safe and dry.
A few of the trees are starting to turn pink. The place will be beautiful in just a few weeks if the rain and wind don't blow all the blossoms off. I was trying to avoid the lady standing behind the girls. But Allie's face is so cute in this I had to include it.
Allie really liked watching the fish. She would sit at the water's edge with her bunny in her arms and just watch so quietly and still. Maybe I should think more seriously about getting a couple pet fish!
